Building Wisconsin’s Youth-Led Political Future
Badger Youth Action (BYO) is a new statewide 501(c)(4) initiative ensuring that young people, especially BIPOC, rural, immigrant, and working-class youth historically excluded from power, are at the center of shaping Wisconsin’s political future.
In 2026, Wisconsin faces some of the most consequential elections in the nation: an open Governor’s race, two competitive U.S. House districts (WI-01 and WI-03), and critical local school board contests in Racine, La Crosse, and Kenosha. The stakes couldn’t be higher, and young people will be the difference.
Our mission is not just to mobilize youth for one election cycle, but to build the infrastructure for long-term power. BYO blends immediate electoral strategies with deep organizing, leadership pipelines, and campus-based hubs that anchor year-round youth power in communities across Wisconsin.
